Human connection,
built like infrastructure.
Most work on connection stops at advice. Be more present. Listen better. Build trust. All true, and none of it tells you where you currently stand or what specifically to do next.
Internet of Beings® treats connection the way an engineer treats a network. Something you can measure, diagnose, and upgrade, with a scale to read it and a method to raise it.
Inner upgrade. Stronger signal.
Better leadership. Healthier network.
Five bands.
One measurable reading.
Your human signal is the quality of what you bring into a human system. Coherence, clarity, presence, and whether people trust you when the pressure rises. Most leaders are running at 2G and assume they are higher.
Full power, no signal. Nothing reaches the leader and nothing leaves. This is the Dead Zone, and from the outside it often looks like peak performance.
From Inside
Everything feels like it depends on you. Delegating feels like risk. Asking feels like exposure. The effort is enormous and the room stays quiet.
What It Costs
Decisions get made on stale information. People stop bringing you problems early, and the tank drains with nothing coming back in.
The Move Up
Naming it. Making the invisible visible opens the channel, and it is harder than it sounds.
The signal is distorted by autopilot, hidden parts, and inherited loyalties. The leader transmits, and people receive static. This is where most Superachievers live before this work, with a reliable slide back toward 1G whenever real stress arrives.
From Inside
You say one thing and the room hears another. You work hard at communicating and still feel misread.
What It Costs
It works well enough to go unexamined. That is the trap. Your team spends its energy decoding you, and trust stays shallow.
The Move Up
Tune the Signal, then Aim it. Clear the interference at the source, then point it at the future you choose.
The signal is clean and aimed at a chosen future. People understand the leader and can trust what they hear. Direction becomes something the whole room can follow.
From Inside
You know what you want and you say it plainly. Your words and your actions finally match.
What It Costs
The signal still travels mostly one way. You are heard well, and the network learns less than it could from what comes back.
The Move Up
Link the Signal. Open the return channel so Link-Listen-Learn can run in both directions.
Link-Listen-Learn is running in both directions, and trust builds in the relationship itself. The willingness to receive has caught up with the capacity to give, and the network around you starts producing more energy than it consumes.
From Inside
Conversations change you. People tell you things they have not told anyone, and you tell them things too.
What It Costs
The connection is real and still conditional. It holds in good conditions and wobbles under sustained pressure.
The Move Up
Holding it under load, in more contexts, across more of the systems you actually move through.
The network moves as one. Trust is high, information arrives early, and every signal in the room rises. This is where the IoB Beacon operates.
From Inside
Less effort, more effect. Your attention is free for what becomes possible, and people bring their real intelligence into the room.
What It Costs
Maintenance. Coherence is a state you hold, and it needs steady practice to stay.
What It Opens
One Beacon is impressive. A network of Beacons can coordinate around problems a 2G system cannot see.
The Human Signal Scale is grounded in the Average Resonating Level (ARL), developed by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. It is an analogy for connective maturity and capacity, and it is not a claim about human telecommunications.
A score for a person.
A level for a system.
The same five bands read a single leader and an entire organization. That is a deliberate design decision, and it is what makes the most useful number on this page possible.
Leadership Signal Score
What you are transmitting into the rooms you are responsible for. Once anyone is downstream of you, your signal has stopped being a private matter.
- ReadsCoherence, connection, and contribution
- OutputA band, for example a 3G Leadership Signal Score
- SourceNine questions, under five minutes
Collective Signal Level
What a team, a function, or an organization is actually running on. Your engagement scores report what this already produced. This reads it directly.
- ReadsLeadership coherence, culture health, collective performance
- OutputA band on the same 1G to 5G scale
- SourceTwelve questions, under eight minutes
Most measurement keeps individuals and organizations in separate systems. A leadership 360 says one thing, an engagement survey says another, and nobody can put the two numbers in the same sentence.
Running both readings on the same five bands means a leader can hold their own score beside the level of the system they lead. The distance between those two numbers is the gap, and the gap is where the work is.
It is also the number no other instrument gives you.
She is present, coherent, and genuinely trusted. Her direct reports would follow her anywhere. And the function underneath her still runs on exchange, protects information, and goes quiet in the meetings that matter.
Her leadership is not the problem. Her signal is not reaching past the first ring.
Without both readings, this looks like a personnel issue. With both, it is a specific, fixable structural one.
The Heart KPI
Organizations measure output efficiently, but the conditions that produce it almost not at all. The Heart KPI sits beside conventional metrics and asks what the collective is actually generating in human-centered impact.
Culture becomes a number a board can hold, which is what it takes for people investment to survive a budget conversation.
Three connections.
Built in this order.
Everything else in a person's life runs downstream of these three. They are sequential and they compound, and the order never changes, because each one makes the next possible.
Radical self awareness, radical acceptance, and genuine presence. This is where the performance contract written in childhood gets read out loud and released. The most demanding work in the system, and the foundation everything after it compounds on.
What It Involves
Separating who you are from what you produce. Noticing the energy you actually operate from rather than the one you perform.
Skipped, You Get
Insight without change. You can describe your patterns fluently and still run every one of them under pressure.
Built, You Get
A signal that is actually yours, rather than an inherited one you have been amplifying for decades.
A real, nervous-system-level relationship with the version of you who already lives the life being built. This is the connection most transformation work never installs, which is why so much of it produces clarity and no movement.
What It Involves
Making the future self specific enough to consult. Deciding from that person rather than from the one currently reacting.
Skipped, You Get
A clear signal pointed nowhere. Real self knowledge, spent on the same trajectory that produced the Dead Zone.
Built, You Get
Momentum instead of effort. Direction stops requiring willpower because it stops being a departure from who you are.
Where the me becomes the we. Genuine two way exchange, energetic intelligence, and the Link-Listen-Learn cycle. This is where personal transformation turns into collective contribution, and where a Connected Achiever becomes a Beacon.
What It Involves
Learning to receive at the level you already give. For a Superachiever this is usually the hardest part of the entire method.
Skipped, You Get
A coherent, well aimed person who reaches nobody. Growth that stays private and never compounds.
Built, You Get
A network effect. Your signal raises the people around you, and theirs starts raising yours.
Link-Listen-Learn
The exchange that makes connection compound for both people. Superachievers arrive fluent in the first step and stall on the other two.
A clear signal with no direction wastes power. A well aimed signal that never links reaches nobody. The order is the method.
One person.
Three stages.
The drive never leaves.
Nobody is asked to slow down, tone it down, or want less. The drive is the resource the world is short on. What changes is the signal running underneath it.
The high performer who wins on repeat and still goes home empty. The drive is real. The signal is weak. From the outside there is nothing to fix, which is exactly why the personal development world has been overlooking them for two decades.
What You See
Capable, driven, reliable under pressure. The person handed the thing that cannot fail.
Running On
A contract written in childhood. Achievement in exchange for acceptance, renewed indefinitely.
What Moves Them
Tune the Signal. The first honest look at who is actually operating the machine.
The same drive, now running on alignment, awareness, and purpose. They stop chasing and become the one others move toward. This is where most personal development stops, because by this point life works well enough that the pressure to continue quietly disappears.
What You See
Someone whose ambition has stopped costing them. Present in rooms rather than performing in them.
Running On
Their own signal, aimed at something they chose. The wins land now, and they last longer than a weekend.
What Moves Them
Link the Signal. Everything so far has been personal. This is where it becomes contribution.
All three connections built, now operating as a coherent node in the human network. A Beacon walks into a room and the room changes. People think more clearly, disagree more safely, and bring their real intelligence into the room. Presence does that work long before strategy does.
What You See
Someone the room organizes itself around, without any of them being able to explain why.
Running On
Coherence, trust, and presence, held under pressure across more contexts than most people manage in one.
What It Opens
The network effect. One Beacon raises the signal of everyone downstream, and they start raising each other.
The Beacon Triad
Three capacities that arrive together. Any one of them alone is a personality trait. All three at once is what changes a room.
The Internet of Things
connected devices.
This connects beings.
The parallel is the whole architecture. Every part of the technological network has a counterpart in the human one, and we built one of them properly.

We spent twenty years and an entire industry building the first one. The second one is still waiting.
Eight steps
from 1G to 5G.
This is the journey a leadership team moves through inside the program. Each step lands the team in a different band, and the whole sequence exists to close the distance between where a signal is and where it could be.
Awakening
Naming the Dead Zone. Full power, no signal, and the recognition that this has a name and a pattern.
Radical Self-Awareness
Breaking autopilot. Seeing the energy you actually operate from rather than the one you have been performing.
Radical Acceptance
Releasing the performance contract. What gets accepted stops needing to be managed, defended, or hidden.
Presence & Coherence
Words, decisions, and behavior aligning. This is where a leader becomes readable to the people around them.
Foresight Activation
Aiming the signal. Building a real relationship with the leader you are becoming, specific enough to consult.
Future Integration
Energy compounding. Decisions start running from direction rather than momentum, and effort drops.
Interconnection
From me to we. The Link-Listen-Learn cycle opens in both directions and the team stops running on exchange.
The Beacon State
Coherence held under pressure, across the rooms and the quarters that come after the program ends.
Three connections, five bands, eight steps. They are three views of one system rather than three systems.
The connections are what you build. The bands are where you are. The steps are how a team moves through it together, which is a different problem from moving through it alone.
A leader can run the connections privately. An organization needs a sequence everyone is on at the same time.
- 3Connections. Self, future self, and others, built in that order.
- 5Bands. From Isolation to IoB Activation, on one scale for people and systems.
- 8Steps. The path a leadership team moves through inside The Beacon Program.
- 1Reading. Your score beside your system's level, and the gap between them.
Every engagement is scoped to the organization in it, so cohort, cadence, and delivery are designed with you.
See The Beacon Program →Two assessments.
One scale.
Reading a framework tells you how it works. Taking the assessment tells you where you actually stand in it. Both are free and both give you a result immediately.
The Signal Assessment
Where you personally sit on the Human Signal Scale, read across all three connections. Most people place themselves a band higher than the result puts them.
- Length9 questions
- TimeUnder 5 minutes
- OutputLeadership Signal Score
- CostFree, results instantly
You Get
- Your band, from Isolation through to IoB Activation
- A breakdown across self, future self, and others
- Which connection is carrying you and which is holding you
- The specific upgrade available to you next
The Organizational Assessment
Where your team, function, or organization is running, read on the same five bands. Built for the leader who needs a number their board can hold.
- Length12 questions
- TimeUnder 8 minutes
- OutputCollective Signal Level
- CostFree, results instantly
You Get
- Your organization's band on the same 1G to 5G scale
- Leadership coherence, culture health, and collective performance scored separately
- Where your largest energy leak is running right now
- A recommendation specific to your role, whether you are CEO, CHRO, or L&D
Neither of these is a verdict. Nine questions cannot capture a person and twelve cannot capture an organization. What they give you is a starting point and a vocabulary, which is more than most leaders have had for something they have been feeling for years.
Upgrade your signal.
Go build the network.
You now have the whole framework. The part that changes anything is what you do in the next ten minutes.
The technological network took twenty years and an entire industry to build. The human one starts with one person deciding to raise their signal.
